BIRTH ASSISTANT

Heather Adams, RN

I grew up in South Carolina and for as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a nurse! After graduating from The University of South Carolina in 2011, I married the love of my life, and we were given our first Air Force duty station in Ohio.

I worked in the hospital on Pediatric units as we moved from Ohio to North Carolina, and had four babies of my own during those years! After my first two births being hospital births, I knew I wanted to try something different when I was pregnant with our third. We had birth center births for our last two babies, and I immediately knew that was the space I belonged in.

The Air Force brought us to Montana in 2022 where I began working as a birth assistant and fell in love with my “job.” Witnessing babies arriving earth side is truly one of the greatest joys of my life. As the military has now brought us to TX, I am so thrilled to get to continue this journey of helping families during such a sacred time in their lives!

My free time is typically spent chauffeuring my kiddos to sports  and soaking in every second with my family!
